My work represents the creation of a visual iconography that is suggestive of nature, derived from travel experiences and my own natural surroundings. To confront the viewer with questions about the interpretation of reality, I use ambiguous spatial illusions and calligraphic articulations hovering between the recognizable and the unknowable. My personal range of mark-making and imagery recalls the symbolist aesthetic of multiple and associative meanings

I have been using knots in my work to symbolyze "peace" since Sept 11 2001. It was interpreted from a thai phase "pukmatri" which means tie/bond relationship between people, countries etc.: With the complicated but simple "single tied knots" I hope that humans could and would try to understand their cultural differences and live peaccefully.

Japanese artist and printmaker. Currently she is working on new prints in Edinburgh printmakers , UK. She has been translating the non toxic printmaking method into Japanese to introduce this practice to Japanese printmakers. In my prints I like to combine both drawing and painting skills giving the print energy, balance, harmony and excitement. Hoping to achieve these qualities in all my work but especially in my landscapes and still lifes giving each theme dimension and life. THe technical aspects of printmaking allow me to achieve these qualities.

I am a painter who does woodcut prints every now and then for slow down feelings. Wood is warm but stiff material, but since you make it follow your will, it pleases you by strong ( nearly shouting ) language.
Both in my oil paintings and woodcuts mostly speak about human life in it's all variations. But for me the subject itself is just a starting point. Process uses that material for composing rythmically.
