This 5-day intensive course introduces students to techniques in botanical painting using practical skills of detailed observation, drawing and painting. Students will develop their drawing skills, learn how to use watercolours effectively to create work inspired by nature and most importantly, they will be able to successfully complete botanical illustrations and compositions.

Led by artist Annamaria Aulicino, this course is based on step-by-step demonstrations as well as independent work so that each student can practise at their own pace. Working on a set of assignments in the afternoon hours, your work will be assessed on each of the following days.

This course is for beginners but previous experience in watercolour painting is essential.
