Who is the course for? This course is suitable for beginners and novices.

Where is the course? Situated in a beautiful village at the foot of the Abruzzi Mountains in Italy, the art center is surrounded by the most beautiful scenery just waiting to be painted.

What will I learn? During this intensive 3-day course (18 hours individual tuition) students will learn the fundamental techniques of oil or acrylic painting through the study of still life compositions as well as real life work.
Your instructor and artist Colleen Corradi Brannigan, will cover what you need to know about painting in oil and acrylic through guided exercises which will also stimulate your right side of the brain.

Classes are in English and take place indoors as well as outdoors in a stimulating and inspiring environment.

PROGRAMME

• Drawing, composition and colour theory - the colour wheel
• colour mixes and colour tones
• textural effects and brushwork skills
• discovering one's self through colour
• working from real life and working from photographs
• perspective: theory and guided exercises
• introducing oil crayons

Duration: three intensive days individual tuition (year round)
